 As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Thursday is Dale and Katy Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship Day! The day will begin at Noon in Library 1520 with Nicholas Haystings, co-founder Square Root Academy and a Sacramento State alumnus with a BS in mechanical engineering speaking on his journey from working at an engineering firm to starting his non-profit to work with youth teaching STEM. A light lunch will be served.

  • At 2:45 p.m., the College of Business Administration will host its 8th Annual Film Festival in the Redwood Room (Union).
  • At 5 p.m. in Library 1533, the Spark Pitch Competition for students will take place. Cash prizes and non-cash prizes will be awarded. The competition is for students who have competed in and won the pitch competitions held by the colleges as well as students who have worked with the Carlsen Center. Students pitch by invitation only. A panel of equity investors will judge the competition.
