CapRadio features new art by watercolorist David Peterson. A California State Fair Fine Arts award winner with recognized Master Painter status by the Northern California Arts Inc., Peterson is nationally acclaimed for his California landmarks. Peterson portrays urban scenes and natural parks in a humorous and enigmatic way, bathing the familiar in rich colors since 2002.
CapRadio’s Second Saturday Artist Reception, set for March 11 from 4pm-6pm, will include complimentary wine, hors d’oeuvres and live music by Steve Milne. Although better known as CapRadio’s morning news anchor, Milne has deejayed over the years at such Sacramento clubs as Celestin’s, The Townhouse and Club Can’t Tell. To complement Peterson’s vibrant watercolors, Milne will be spinning a colorful and eclectic mix of funky vinyl including jazz, soul, reggae, African, Brazilian and Latin sounds.
“What? You Call This Watercolor?” will be on display through April 21.
