The exhibit, created to question the public’s point of view about women veterans, pairs intimate portraits and personal narratives written by the women portrayed in a bold visual statement, answering the question:  What does a woman veteran look like?

“The portrait campaign came together over two years ago when Melissa Washington, president of the Women Veterans Alliance, approached us to help visually define women veterans,” says James Morrison, a U.S. Navy veteran.

“We embraced the opportunity to bring visibility to these women warriors, not expecting the impact this project would have on our lives.”

This event includes a raffle, refreshments and networking opportunities. Personally signed portrait books from the Morrisons' project will be available for purchase.
