This class is perfect for the novice paddler who wishes to learn more about river kayaking. River kayaking involves paddling through currents and rapids, typically in a kayak with a "skirt" (see picture above). This class will educate students how to "roll" or correct a capsize while in a kayak, paddle technique, and how to make safe water decisions. One day will be spent on Lake Natoma, the second day students will take a trip down the Lower American River. 2 days, 3 hours each day.
