What's Possible:
New Ideas for our Fiscal Path Forward

With convening support from California Forward
and the CSAC Finance Corp.

California’s state and local agencies have tough fiscal years ahead of them. Budget deficits and questions about cost-effectiveness evoke competing proposals from all sides of Sacramento. But leaders in other states and local communities are pioneering creative solutions as well.

Our panel reaches beyond the State Capitol to compare innovative ideas and their results from other states and the local level. We’ll explore what's possible with some of the brightest minds, and a breath of fresh air, from outside Sacramento, and from real experience at the cutting edge.

Christopher Cabaldon, Mayor of West Sacramento
Scott Pattison, Executive Director of the National
Association of State Budget Officers
Dr. Josh Lerner, Executive Director of the Participatory Budgeting Project

Moderated by John Myers, Political Editor for Channel
