Active Minds has teamed up with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and Student Health & Counseling Services to host the 2^nd Annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk at Sacramento State on April 4, 2013 at 5pm.  All members of the campus community are invited to take action and be a part of this event that occurs nationwide in an effort to increase national awareness about depression and suicide, provide support for survivors of suicide loss, and raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives. In deciding to walk participants are taking us a step closer to making suicide prevention a national priority and raising funds for campus outreach programs. 

The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is free and open to the public.  Participants must register at: http://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=2195.  Participants can register as individuals, join one of the 38+ campus teams or create a team.
