The Sacramento State Aquatic Center will be hosting the
2013 Head of the American Regatta! This event draws crowds of thousands to
beautiful Lake Natoma, the nation’s premier rowing venue on the west coast. Come on out and enjoy fantastic racing from
the best of the best, including Stanford, Cal
Berkeley, Irvine, and our very own Sac State men's and women's teams. The Head of the American has become an internationally recognized regatta with some teams coming from as far as the UK. There will be numerous vendors to explore,
including some delicious food vendors. With
a large spectating area right next to the finish line, you can’t miss any of
Fees: Parking fees for the Nimbus Flat State Park are
$10.00/vehicle. Overflow parking is
available at the Gold
Point Office Park for $5.00/vehicle with shuttle service to
and from the spectator’s area (carpooling is highly recommended).
Volunteering: Numerous volunteer opportunities are
available for this event. Please contact the Sacramento State Aquatic Center if
you are, or your organization is interested in volunteering. This event is perfect for gaining community
service hours for high schools, sororities, fraternities, and many others.
