Keynote Speaker: Maude Barlow

Maude Barlow is a leading voice in Canada and around the world for social, environmental, and economic justice. A political activist, policy critic, and author, Barlow serves as the national volunteer chairperson for The Council of Canadians, a non-profit, non-partisan public interest organization supported by 100,000 members, where she advocates to protect Canada's public social programs, its natural resource heritage, and food security, as well as fights for sustainable economic policies and promotes a peacekeeping role for Canada's armed forces. She is the bestselling author (or co-author) of 16 books, including Blue Covenant: The Global Water Crisis and The Coming Battle for the Right to Water.
