Help
spread the word and get involved in the Spirit of Giving Drive. This year we
have two ways to benefit the nearly 60,000 people in the greater Sacramento
area served by Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services: Through Thursday, Jan.
31, we’ll be participating in the Volunteer Challenge and collecting winter
clothing and food. Please visit www.csus.edu/cec to find out how we can make a difference in
our community.
Volunteering
is a great way for donors to be a part of the process and to see donations in
action. In 2011 we accepted SFBFS' challenge to see who can have the greatest
volunteer participation, and are proud to say Sac State won, and we're ready to
take on that challenge again this year.
Food
and clothing donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday 10 am - 4 pm in
Library room 4028 and on the second floor reference desk during Library hours.
Or, catch us walking around campus with Corn Cob Indy for Indy’s Great
Adventures every Wednesday, through December 5, from 11:45 - 1:45 pm.
For more information on the Spirit of Giving Drive, a wish list of donation items, or how you can take part in the Volunteer Challenge, please visit www.csus.edu/cec
All donated items
must be new or gently used and in working condition. Food items cannot be
opened, prepared, or expired.
