Guest artist Sikkil Gurucharan performs South Indian (Carnatic) vocal music, along with Sanjeev Venkataraman on violin and R. Sankaranarayanan on mridangam. Gurucharan is among the foremost young performing musicians of Carnatic music in India today. Since debuting at the Music Academy in Chennai in 1994, he has performed extensively in India and abroad, and has won multiple awards. He is an ‘A’ grade All India Radio artist, and is the grandson of Sikkil Kunjumani, internationally acclaimed flautist of the Sikkil Sisters.
