Photo of speakerPlease join us on Thursday, October 17, 2013 as we welcome Dr. Jing Xu from the Department of Physics at University of California, Merced.

Dr. Xu will present, "Tuning Multiple Motor Travel via Single Motor Velocity," at 4pm in Mendocino Hall 1015.  This talk is free and open to the public.

Dr. Xu attended Caltech as an undergraduate.  She graduated in 2006 from UC Santa Barbara where she was in graduate school working with Jim Allen on Terahertz Spectroscopy.  Before starting as an assistant professor at UC Merced in 2011, she worked on Molecular Motor Biophysics at UC Irvine with Steve Gross.
