Lecture Title: Human Security is Dead! Long live human security! Norms, Rights, and Human Protection in an Age of Rage

Human security is the idea that the security of individuals and communities should receive priority in policy making decisions. Displacement, conflict-induced famine, global climate change and a rise in nativist movements has challenged the once emerging human security norm. Professor David Andersen-Rodgers will be discussing themes from his recently published book (co-authored with Kerry F. Crawford) Human Security: Theory and Action.
