December 3-7, 2018
Reception: Thursday, Dec. 6, 5-7 p.m.

Based around the idea of sensuality and the many interpretations of sorrow, two aspects of human life that have always had a great influence upon us. Furthermore, we combine both ideas in a way that may prove evocative and thought-provoking to us as the artists. We want to be able to explore how sexuality can successfully intervolve into darker imagery and feelings such as that of loneliness, mourning, anger and cruelty. It is our goal to make use of the human figure in order to generate atmosphere, mood, and a narrative powerful enough to speak for itself. We want to be able to tell a story through color and line, and to create an emotional bond with each piece of the collection. Overall, our theme will be largely driven on aspects of passion and poesy, as well as personal feelings, and so we are hoping to convey that through a theatric use of light, texture, and careful composition.
